Here's a brief overview of what to expect. The design and construction process, on average, usually takes about 2 to 4 months to complete. This time frame, however, could vary greatly depending on various factors you may encounter during the process on your end.
We meet and we listen to your ideas
We'll ask many questions to thoroughly understand your likes, dislikes and hopes for the new playground. We'll review our Ten Guidelines for a Successful Playground together.
Based on our knowledge of children's play, playgrounds, and the current safety standards, we will help you to evaluate the ideas and to make key choices as to their relative importance. Some of our services may include:
- Identify design parameters (children's ages, budgets, special needs, etc.)
- Doing a site assessment with measurements and photography
- Developing a wish list
We develop concepts together
You are big part of the process. Well explore various alternatives with you through sketches, site plans and preliminary budgets. Based on your feedback, revisions are made until the concept is fully developed and a final budget approved.
A formal proposal
After the final concept is approved we will provide a detailed description of the equipment, along with a computer generated 24" x 36" scaled color plot of your site plan and selected equipment. Various options are clearly spelled out and if accepted, this proposal will become the basis of our purchase and sale agreement. A deposit of 40% of the equipment value is requested to secure your order in the production and construction schedules.
Preparation for installation
We will coordinate your equipment delivery and provide guidance to make sure the site is prepared for the arrival of the equipment.
Installation day
The success of installation day is a direct reflection of the care and the thought that went into the planning of the project. And since we've designed and sold over 2,000 playgrounds, we've got it down to a very smooth routine. Most playgrounds are installed in one day. Follow-up
After the construction process is completed, we'll check back to verify that everything has been installed as specified and that everything is in good working order. We can provide routine site and equipment inspections including a written follow-up report noting condition of playground and recommended actions, if required. |
